Seidensticker, the German fashion manufacturer, which ranks amongst the top three shirt manufacturers in the world, has decided on a cooperation with Tradebyte Software GmbH for the expansion of its e-commerce activities. Via the TB.One SaaS software Seidensticker sells its products on big online portals such as Amazon.de or eBay.de and fills its own online shop with its product range.

Seidensticker has completed a long-term contract with Tradebyte in order to quickly and reliably place the Seidensticker fashion product range on big European online portals. The aim of the cooperation is the development of new sales paths in e-commerce with the help of the TB.One SaaS software and to offer their own products on marketplaces like Amazon or eBay, and therefore to profit from the reach of the portals. Furthermore, the software solution offers Seidensticker the added value of filling their own www.seidensticker.com online shop directly via an interface to TB.One. So the whole product data maintenance takes place centrally at Tradebyte.

For this, the software offers two central modules, especially developed for e-commerce: a standardised Product Information Management (PIM) module and a standardised Order Management System (OMS), which processes article data as well as order data in a clear and standardised way. The integration of the stocks and product data in existing platforms is quickly handled with efficient processes. Through this, TB.One is the deciding interface between retailer data and online portals.

“We were looking for a software solution, which quickly and safely opens the way to new sales channels. With Tradebyte we have found this and furthermore, have also won a reliable partner,” says Thomas Scheler, E-commerce Manager at Seidensticker. “Tradebyte builds ‘bridges’ for us, so that we can sell our products without complication in our own online shop and at the most popular marketplaces.”

Seidensticker was founded in Bielefeld in 1919 and has been owned by the family ever since. Now, this company with such a long tradition ranks among the top three shirt manufacturers in the world and is represented in more than 80 countries with 50 stores and more than 2000 shop-in-shops. In 2012/2013, the company produced around 15 million shirts and blouses and had an overall profit of around 197.1 million Euros. 38% of the products from Seidensticker have been exported abroad in the last few years.
